The conveyor belt cleaner scraper reduces material backflow in the conveyor.
At a coal mine factory in Shanxi, it was found that materials frequently flowed back into the belt. This transportation system transported hundreds of tons of coal slag, which moved from the mine to the coal storage warehouse on a 48-inch wide (1200mm) conveyor belt at a speed of 1.6m/s. Although the outdoor part of the conveyor belt is covered, it is still exposed to extreme environments. Materials stick to the return side of the conveyor belt, accumulating around the main machine, causing the rollers to become sticky, which necessitates downtime for maintenance and cleaning, thus increasing operating costs.
